4th of July Treats – By Sarah of Miss CandiQuik

pic1 1024x1024 4th of July Treats By Sarah of Miss CandiQuik Sarah from the Miss CandiQuik blog here again! Ahh, finally – summer is here and in full swing!

Honestly, even though I love to bake, I can be rather hesitant to turn on the oven and whip up a dessert when it’s 80 degrees outside. Because quite frankly, I’d rather be out soaking up the sun and enjoying a BBQ with friends!

Since the 4th is right around the corner, I thought I’d share these three simple treat recipes with you. No oven needed.

A microwave, pretzels, marshmallows, graham crackers, strawberries and CandiQuik Coating is literally all you need to make these treats.

First up: S’more Sandwiches. Like a S’more. Only less messy. And transportable.

1 package Chocolate Candy Coating (CandiQuik Coating – found at Walmart, Target)

Graham Cracker Squares

(Jet Puffed) Stackable Marshmallows

Decorative Sprinkles

Melt Chocolate CANDIQUIK according to directions on package.

Break each graham cracker square in half. Using a spoon dip in Chocolate coating; place 1 stackable marshmallow on top of 15 of the chocolate graham crackers before coating has set. Sprinkle if desired.

Once coating is set, use a dab of Chocolate CANDIQUIK to attach the top chocolate graham cracker.

(Makes approximately 15 s’mores)

This next treat is my favorite – we’ve been making these 4th of July chocolate strawberries for as long as I can remember!

Fresh strawberries, washed and completely dried

Blue sugar sprinkles

Melt Vanilla CANDIQUIK according to directions on package.

Dip strawberries in candy coating, letting the excess drip off.

Dip the end of the berry in the blue sprinkles and place on wax paper to dry.

Easy enough, right!?

Here’s another favorite – chocolate dipped pretzel rods.

Enjoy! Have a safe and happy 4th of July!
